Advertising in Transactional Media
What is Transactional Media? Quite simply, transactional media is media that is created through a consumer experience. A purchase through e-commerce or catalogs that generates a package distribution, or an invoice for services that carries an insert are both transactional. The value of transactional media is that the consumer is in “buying” mode. Because these media channels often contain goods purchased by the recipient they are welcome into the home, making them an ideal vehicle to carry a third party message. Recipients are proven mail-order or online buyers, which enhances response to similar offers. The ability to target by complimentary products and/or demographic profiles is an added benefit.
